Family Fun Night and Scholastic Book Fair

Family Fun Night

Thank-You to everyone who supported Samuelson Family Fun Night last week.  Over 70 volunteers helped plan the evening, assemble Kids of Character Baskets, set-up the evening, help with activities, and helped clean-up afterwards.  And that doesn't include the families that donated items for the Baskets or snack cakes!

We also raised over $1,300 for the PTO Technology Fund to purchase more I-Pads and educational apps for Samuelson classrooms. Thanks again!

Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair is this Wednesday, March 13 and Thursday, March 14 from dismissal to 8 pm each night in the gym.  Since this is our second Fair of the school year, we can earn up to 65% of sales in Rewards from Scholastic.  Our goal for this Fair is to earn enough Rewards to purchase 6 more listening stations for the classrooms.  Fair Rewards will be used for the listening stations until all the classrooms have one and we only need 6 more.  

Help is needed on Wednesday and Thursday starting at 5 pm so those already volunteering can go to their student's conferences and help with the Staff Appreciation Dinner.  If you can help at the Fair for an hour either night, please contact Heather Silberhorn at 577-7313 or 5silberhornsgmail.com.
