Samuelson Family Fun Night is Friday, March 9 from 6 to 8 pm at school. Many families have already volunteered to help with the event ..... THANK-YOU! It takes almost 70 people to make the evening a success for our students.
Building staff has asked that the PTO help purchase more technology for our classrooms. At the February PTO meeting we voted to create a Technology Fund and focus our fundraising efforts on this important need. Our first goal is to purchase one additional item per classroom. Staff will decide what is needed most for each grade level, but the inital idea is to purchase laptops and I-pads. We're hopefull that we may be able to purchase some items to have ready by next school year, if not sooner. Given our new fundraising goal, all proceeds from Fun Night will go to the Technology Fund.
We still need a little help getting ready for Fun Night. If you can help with either of these things, please let me know!
1 Volunteers to help with Fun Night games, either shift from 5:40 to 7 or 7 to 8:20. Its a fun way to help out!
2. Donate Little Debbie Snacks. In the past, we've been able to get the Little Debbies snacks for the Snack Cake Walk donated from local businesses. However, we haven't been able to this year. IF you are willing to donate an un-opened box of Little Debbies (any variety) that would be greatly appreciated. This will keep our expenses for the evening lower, so we can put more money into the Technology Fund. Just drop them off in the office and let Ms. Tyne know they are for Fun Night.
