UPDATE: Thanks to Donita Faust for volunteering to organize the Valentine's Breakfast! If you're interested in helping, I'm sure she'd love some help!
Its still mid-December, but its time to think ahead to the PTO Valentine Breakfast. We sponsor the breakfast, not as a fundriaser, but to provide an opportunity for our school families to spend some time together at the start of the day.
The PTO needs someone to help organize and plan the breakfast. Last year we arranged for a different meal to be served for breakfast that day. It took some coordinating with the District's Food Service Department and some organization for the pre-orders. The coordinator also needs to be at the Breakfast to check-in families as they arrive (this takes about 2 hours starting at 6:30 am).
I did this last year and it was cute to see the students excited to bring their families to breakfast. It just takes some time to organize and coordinate. Unfortuntely, I can't commit to being there on Valentine's Day to check in the families. My presence has been "requested" (ok, really more like demanded) at my 4th graders party that afternoon and I just can't take the whole day off of work.
If you would like to help with the Breakfast, please let me know! I can help with the organizing and planning, but without someone to check in the families on February 14th, we can't offer this family activity.
Thanks for considering this opportunity!
